How does the free trial work?
Annual plans come with a free 7-day trial. Start it from the app — cancel inside the trial window from your Apple ID subscriptions and you won't be charged. The free tier never expires, so you can also just play on it as long as you like.
What's the difference between Basic and Pro?
Basic is everything on the course: automatic tracking, the Smart Caddie and GPS. Pro connects it off the course — strokes-gained Smart Coach analytics, personalized practice plans, measured drill results, and launch-monitor sessions imported alongside your rounds.
Do I need an Apple Watch?
Automatic shot detection uses Apple Watch. Without one you can still track shots and scores from your iPhone in a couple of taps per hole.
Can I pay monthly?
Yes. Basic is $14.99 a month and Pro is $24.99 a month. Annual works out cheaper on both, and it's the only option that includes the 7-day trial.
Can I see my data outside the app?
Yes, on every plan. Sign in at app.tangent.golf with the same account you play on. Free shows your latest round, Basic opens your full history, and Pro adds strokes gained, practice plans and drill results across every round you've played.
